Hello —
Fifty-one years ago, Wisconsin Senator Gaylord Nelson issued a call to action and 20 million people joined in his vision to protect our planet and keep our promise to future generations.
This Earth Day, it’s clearer than ever before that climate change poses a serious threat to the world we live in.
From extreme weather to changing farm patterns to lower water levels in our beloved Great Lakes, we are seeing the effects of climate change right here in Wisconsin.
But many Republicans still refuse to accept that climate change is a real, imminent threat. So if we are going to protect our planet, it’ll take bold plans and engaging a swell of grassroots supporters with a shared vision of passing on a world better than we found it.
I hope you will join me today in recommitting ourselves to the fight against climate change. Add your name to stand with me as we work to protect our planet.

In a speech at University of Wisconsin-Madison on the eve of Earth Day, Gaylord Nelson asked, “Are we able? Yes. Are we willing? That’s the unanswered question.”
Let’s answer that question with a resounding "yes!"
