Earth Day was established in 1970 to uplift the voices of the emerging environmental movement and raise the public consciousness about the state of our planet.

Now, 51 years later, that fight is more urgent than ever.

With the impacts of climate change already coming to bear through rising sea levels, tumultuous hurricanes, and raging wildfires, the federal policies we set this year and next will determine the future of our planet. Will our children and grandchildren have a livable world to inhabit? It’s still an open question, John.
