Hi John,
Happy Earth Day!
As a child, I cherished the time I spent outdoors, trekking through the woods or picnicking in parks with my family. Now, as a parent myself, I love spending days outside with my daughters — our latest adventure was a hike to Crabtree Falls! Our beautiful state provides plenty of opportunities to enjoy mountains, rivers, and beaches, and our family makes sure to take advantage of what Virginia has to offer.
However, as we enjoy these natural wonders, we must remember our responsibility to protect our environment. We can make positive changes for our children and generations to come by investing in alternative and renewable energy sources and decreasing air and water pollution.
In Congress, I’ve devoted time to this mission. I serve as Chair of the House Agriculture Committee’s Conservation and Forestry Subcommittee, where we aspire to build long-term climate solutions that are both beneficial for the environment and the economy.
I also led the introduction of the Climate Readiness Act, which would recognize climate change as a national security threat and require the Pentagon to assess its response strategies.
Earlier this month, I introduced the Climate Stewardship Act, which will fund conservation on farmland in Central Virginia and across the country.
I know that addressing climate change is one of the biggest challenges our country faces. But I am committed to working on solutions in Congress to tackle climate change and ensure we spend many more Earth Days on a healthy planet.
If you want to help me stay in Congress fighting for these critical climate issues, I would appreciate it if you could contribute to my campaign now.

Thank you for your support. I hope you and your loved ones get to spend your Earth Day out and about in the great outdoors!
Sincerely,
