Despite recent actions to remove posts that spread false information and to ban users who repeatedly posted it, Twitter, Facebook, and other giant social media platforms still have a long way to go to undo the damage they caused in recent elections, and now there are platforms actively inviting disinformation.

The MyPillow CEO and Trump confidante Mike Lindell spent months spreading lies about the outcome of the 2020 election -- so much so that he's the defendant in a $1.3 billion defamation lawsuit regarding his election fraud claims.

Now, Lindell has announced plans to create a new social media platform that will be a haven to the white supremacists, conspiracy theorists, and far-right insurrections that make up Trump's base.
