Dear John, Earth Day’s celebration is yet another reminder of how urgent it is for business leaders to mobilize around policy-solutions that address the existential threat of climate change, while paving the way for an economic recovery that brings about a just transition to healthier communities and environment. Today more than ever, the voice of responsible business is crucial to provide leadership and advocacy. This is ASBC’s commitment and our work, day-in and day-out.
As our country recovers from the wounds of the Covid-19 pandemic, ASBC continues to work hard to bring about a clean, healthy environment for all. And this is the perfect ground for businesses not only to recover from the current crisis, but to flourish. For over a decade, we’ve transformed this belief into concrete actions such as helping stop the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline, building Businesses against Fracking to stop fracking in New York State, supporting the efforts that led to NYS divestment from fossil fuels, working with Businesses for Bristol Bay to protect it from a Pebble mine project, supporting the reintroductions of the Break Free from Plastic Pollution Act, building a strong coalition of organizations working for regenerative agriculture and justice, and advocating for an upgrade to our decaying water infrastructure.
Please join us and donate to our work, all contributions matter. Together we can turn this dire situation into an opportunity for bold change.
