Today is Earth Day, John — and I’m grateful to be leading the efforts to save our planet!
We just reintroduced the Green New Deal in the House, and I’m proud to be an original co-sponsor of this pivotal legislation.
Scientists say we don’t have much time to change our course — that means we’ll need everyone to do their part to get this legislation passed. Can I count you in? [[link removed]]

This Earth Day has special significance, John. With Joe Biden in office, it’s our first real chance in years to get substantial change signed into law — and we need those changes.
The next generation of activists needs our support. Folks like Greta Thunberg, who is testifying today at the Subcommittee on Environment, aren’t afraid to help save our planet. She and I both know that the time for action is now.
Passing the Green New Deal would cement Earth Day’s legacy. It would demonstrate how far we’ve come in the 51 years since it was first celebrated. So let’s make it happen.
