We all need a Green New Deal. That’s why Ayanna proudly co-sponsored a Green New Deal for Cities, Towns, Counties, States, Tribes, and Territories, legislation introduced by Representatives Cori Bush and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez that will bring a Green New Deal to all of our communities.
The climate crisis is escalating, and its dangerous and destructive impacts are being felt everywhere. But the greatest burden of environmental injustice is shouldered by some of our most vulnerable communities.
This disproportionate impact isn’t a coincidence — it is born out of decades of racial, economic, and social injustice. We must legislate with intention and urgency to address our environmental challenges while advancing equity and justice for all.
This bill will bring a Green New Deal to the Massachusetts 7th and every community, providing the resources necessary to confront the climate crisis, fight environmental injustice, and create thousands of good-paying union jobs in the process.
