Donald Trump was disastrous for our planet, John.
During the Trump administration, air quality standards were rolled back, the United States left the Paris Climate agreement, public lands were stripped of federal protections, and we became a less safe and less sustainable country.
As a senior member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, Diana knows that climate change is the greatest existential threat of our lifetime. And she's working hard to undo the damage from the previous administration and tackle climate change head-on.
Just this year, she re-introduced a bill to cut methane emissions, sponsored and passed the Colorado Wilderness Act to protect over 600,000 acres of land right here in our state, and is working to protect low-income and communities of color from the disproportionate impacts of climate change -- including COVID-19.
She's also partnering with the Biden administration to pass the American Jobs Plan, which will create millions of good-paying, local jobs in clean energy and mitigate the climate crisis.
We can protect our planet and build a more sustainable economy if we come together. So John, celebrate Earth Day by recommitting to protecting our environment. Add your name now.
Thanks,
