An opportunity to invest in a future that you believe in

*******************************************

Dear Friend,

The first Earth Day was a call to action.

After years of oil spills, smog-filled skies, and overflowing landfills leaking toxic gases, people wanted change. We saw regular people come together to take on powerful interests and make a difference. And as we look back at how things used to be, it’s not hard to see there has been progress.

But there is still so much work to be done. This Earth Day, will you recommit to this call to action?

We’re going to need all hands on deck to take on the corporations, polluters, and special interests that are exploiting people and the planet.

Today – Earth Day – is an opportunity to invest in a future that you believe in. Here are some of the actions we are taking on right now, in pursuit of that future:

*We’re working with communities affected by lead poisoning to ensure access to clean drinking water.

*We’re challenging oil and gas leases granted on public lands at the last minute by the Trump administration.

*We’re in court fighting a last-minute pipeline approval that would drain the Mojave Desert of precious water supply.

One of the hardest things about these fights is that they are ongoing and require our diligence. But we need to keep up the momentum if we want real, lasting change.

That’s why I’m reaching out to you.

Will you make a commitment — to the planet and to the health of communities across the country — by becoming a monthly donor? If you sign up today, your monthly gift will be matched $3-to-$1, which means your impact will be quadrupled for the first twelve months [link removed]
Your continued support could not come at a more important moment.

Thank you for fighting beside us,

Abigail Dillen
