Today marks the 51st anniversary of Earth Day and millions of people are mobilizing for the environment. From grassroots voices to world leaders, the whole world’s attention is on the fight for the Earth on Earth Day.

EARTHDAY‍.ORG is bringing you a special Earth Day Live at noon Eastern. Follow our livestream along with our hosts, Youth Climate Activist Alexandria Villaseñor and Actress Milana Vayntrub as we explore ways to Restore Our Earth. 

Earth Day 2021’s theme, Restore Our Earth, rejects the idea that mitigation and adaptation are the only ways to deal with human-caused climate change. Today’s event will highlight three ways we’re tackling the problem: through universal climate literacy, natural solutions and technological innovations. You’ll be joined by global leaders, activists, actors and musicians, including Pope Francis, John Kerry, Greta Thunberg, Tom Lovejoy, Licypriya Kangujam, Kristen Bell, AJR, Ricky Kej, SZA and many more. 

Earth Day plants the seeds of environmental activism in all participants, whether they’re watching a livestream or participating in a cleanup. The day renews the commitment that we make to steward the Earth year-round. Everyone has the potential to make a difference in our world, and the fight for the environment is the most critical issue we face. We only have one planet.
