its move toward a new framework for cyber-focused examinations in its Annual Report,
which further emphasized the agency’s focus on technology modernization and cybersecurity efforts.

FHFA
extends several GSE loan origination flexibilities, announces others will expire as planned
The FHFA announced Wednesday that the government-sponsored enterprises (GSEs)
– Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac – will extend some coronavirus-related loan flexibilities
but allow others to expire as planned due to low utilization. Of note, alternative
appraisals on purchase and rate-term refinance loans are among the flexibilities to be extended through May 31.

SBA
extends date for PPP loan increase requests
Following the paycheck
protection program's (PPP) extension to May 31, the Small Business Administration
(SBA) has issued a new procedural notice for first-draw PPP borrowers seeking
a loan increase. The notice clarifies that eligible borrowers have until the program
deadline to submit a request for a loan increase.
