Hey John, I’m going to be honest: I feel like a broken record here.

Below, you’ll find a message I sent you just over a month ago.

In the wake of passing the Equality Act through the House, far-right members of the Republican party like Marjorie Taylor Greene started raising millions off of attacking LGBTQ+ citizens.

And now we know exactly how much: In the first quarter of 2021, Marjorie Taylor Greene raised $3.2 million dollars, John.

More Marjorie Taylor Greenes in power is a risk for LGBTQ+ people across the nation.

John, we can’t let these forces win even more power Congress. Will you be one of the 1,000 donors we need to rush $3 right now to help us fight back?

Since I originally sent that email back in March:
✖️ Arkansas has banned health care for trans youth
✖️ Mississippi has banned trans women and girls from competing in women’s sports
✖️ Tennessee has introduced legislation to erase LGBTQ+ history from schools

Our work very CLEARLY isn’t over, John.

So I really need to ask one more time: Will you give $3 right now to take on Republican money and keep the House Majority?

John, I’m coming to you today because I’m tired.

I’m tired of walking into work every day and seeing my colleagues attacked by the far-right fringes of the Republican Party.

And I’m tired of watching “more moderate” members stand by and doing nothing to hold them accountable.

And I’m tired of reading that they are making millions doing it all.

John, since the passage of the Equality Act -- a HISTORIC bill protecting the rights of gay and trans people in this country -- representatives like Marjorie Taylor Greene have raised nearly two millions dollars from attacking those this bill will protect -- people like me.

So I need to ask you: Will you give $3 right now to help me fight back against these disgusting right-wing attacks? We need to raise $15,000 before our end-of-quarter deadline to keep up with far-right Republicans:

Marjorie Taylor Greene and her bigoted colleagues referred to the Equality Act as “disgusting, immoral, and evil.”

But the most disgusting, immoral, and evil thing I can think of is raising money off vilifying the LGBTQ+ community.

We need to fight back against these disgusting smears, John.

We’re rapidly approaching our end-of-quarter deadline, and I won’t lie: I’m getting nervous that we won’t hit our $15,000 goal.
