It is my pleasure to endorse Jo Anne Simon for Brooklyn Borough President.

As a community activist, former teacher of deaf students, disability civil rights lawyer, and a New York State Assemblymember, Jo Anne Simon is a forceful advocate for Brooklyn. She has worked to give Brooklyn's communities a voice in the decisions that affect their lives, reduce gun violence, promote environmental justice, increase affordable housing, support small businesses, improve transit and street safety, and improve access to education. I strongly encourage you to support her however you can.

I am proud of our efforts fighting together for New Yorkers in the Legislature, and I cannot wait to continue fighting for Brooklyn alongside Jo Anne when she is our first woman Borough President. Jo Anne Simon is the champion who will ensure that Southern Brooklyn has a strong voice in City government and who will help us restore the vitality of our small businesses, schools, and communities.
