While Andrew Scheer and his Conservatives want to take us backwards to the politics of the Harper years, we’re focused on moving forward with our plan to invest in the middle class, grow our economy, protect a clean environment, and keep our communities safe.
Our Top Priorities
The Liberal team is focused on making life more affordable for you and your family.
We’ll make it easier for young Canadians to buy their first home, save the average family nearly $600 per year by cutting taxes for the middle class, and ensure a more secure retirement for seniors.
Climate change is the biggest issue of our generation, and the Liberal team has a real plan to protect our environment while growing our economy.
We’ll invest in clean technologies, protect our land, coast and oceans, and commit Canada to net-zero emissions by 2050.
Gun crime in Canada is on the rise, and today, our country has no clear classification for assault rifles – making it legal to buy several military-style weapons.
Andrew Scheer’s Conservatives have an agenda that will make it easier for criminals to get their hands on assault rifles. That’s wrong. A re-elected Liberal government will strengthen gun control, and ban assault weapons in Canada.
Post-secondary education provides the skills and training to find good jobs, but with the cost of tuition rising rapidly, too many young Canadians are finding it harder and harder to afford.
A re-elected Liberal government will make student grants more generous and student loans more affordable. By increasing Canada Student Grants, students will receive up to $1,200 more every year. We’ll give new graduates two years before they need to begin paying off their loans – interest-free – and they won’t have to start paying it back until they’re making at least $35,000. We’ll also help new parents by allowing them to pause their loan repayments – with no interest – until their youngest child turns 5, so they can
focus on raising their family, rather than their debt.

Liberal volunteers have made more than 3 million knocks and calls to start conversions with Canadians over the last 2 weeks alone, but we can’t slow down now. At the door, on the phone, with your friends and neighbours – every conversation matters.
Our volunteer teams are the most important part of this campaign, and we’ll need everyone on board to move forward, earn another mandate, and send even more Liberal MPs to Ottawa.
