Those may be strong words, John, but that doesn't mean they're not true. The fact is, the use of gerrymandering and voter suppression by one political party -- the GOP -- to maintain minority rule is authoritarianism.
So what do we do about it? Republicans clearly don't believe in democracy anymore. But we do -- and it's up to us to fight them at every step, in every state and at the federal level. This may be our last chance to save democracy, so I can't overstate the importance and urgency.
