Friend,

Since Democrats won big in Virginia, we’ve gotten a lot done. We legalized marijuana. We passed the first-ever state Voting Rights Act. We abolished the death penalty. That’s what we get when we elect progressive Democrats—laws that level the playing field for regular people and right historic wrongs.

While we’ve made great progress, I think we’ve still got a lot more to do. Here’s the to-do list I’ll fight for as Virginia’s next Lt. Governor:

Empower labor unions to bargain for higher wages and better benefits
Speed up our renewable energy timeline and create green jobs
End mandatory minimums and other tools of mass incarceration
Provide paid sick and family leave to every working Virginian
Pass serious campaign finance reform to curb special interests

Virginia is on the cusp of not just catching up to the times, but leading the way for modern progress in the US. All we need are leaders who are willing to do what’s bold rather than what’s safe. That’s me.
