John, Tomorrow is Earth Day. To celebrate, President Biden is bringing global leaders to the White House for a climate summit. With his American Jobs Plan's unprecedented investments in climate and clean energy, our president is setting an example for the world. He's showing American leadership is back! Here in North Carolina, we also have an executive leader putting forth bold climate solutions. Gov. Cooper’s Clean Energy Plan is a blueprint for protecting our beautiful state and our way of life for generations to come. But he continues to be stymied by anti-environment, climate-denying General Assembly leadership that refuses to do anything to tackle our planet’s greatest threat. Our current legislative leaders are also continuing their decade-long efforts to deny voters their right to elect leaders of their choosing. They know if we vote, they lose. And so do polluters. So we must redouble our efforts to take them on. Our policy accountability and voter communications are funded by you, John. We have to hit our budget benchmark by the end of the month to stay on track for our advocacy efforts this year and our campaign efforts next year. Unfortunately, we’re still $4,930 short with only 9 days to go! Help us close that gap with a $50 or $25 membership renewal gift now » Together, we’ll take on the polluters and their pet politicians — and put our Green Caucus in power. Then we’ll not only be able to stop the worst bills by upholding Gov. Cooper’s vetoes, but actually pass a positive environmental and voting rights agenda. Imagine what we can accomplish when we do!
