Here's the bad news: a federal court just upheld most of Ajit Pai's disastrous repeal of net neutrality.

John,

Here's the bad news: a federal court just upheld most of Ajit Pai's disastrous repeal of net neutrality.

But there is good news: the next president can appoint a new FCC chair to reverse this attack on net neutrality and restore a free and open Internet.

Already nearly 200,000 people have called on the 2020 presidential candidates to commit to restoring net neutrality, but we still don’t know where all the candidates stand on this issue. With the court failing to fully protect the Internet, it’s critical that we ramp up pressure and get all candidates to take a position.

Send a message to the 2020 presidential candidates: commit to restoring net neutrality!

TAKE ACTION

This should be an easy commitment for the presidential candidates to make, since 86 percent of Americans opposed the FCC’s repeal.1 But the telecom industry has a lot of money and will be lobbying the candidates to let the repeal stand.

That’s why it’s so critical that the presidential candidates hear from you right now—tell them to pledge to fight for net neutrality.

The court’s decision means that Internet providers like Comcast and Verizon can restrict your access to the Internet by throttling traffic, censoring content, and imposing unfair fees.

Team Cable has already shown that they will abuse Internet access for profit. In just the last year, they have throttled the California firefighters’ data in the midst of deadly wildfires, slowed streaming speeds to popular websites like YouTube and Netflix, and blocked Internet access to force customers to view specific ads.2

The court’s decision will only embolden the telecom industry and examples like this will become more prevalent. Stopping them is going to take all hands on deck at every level to beat back Big Cable’s inevitable attacks and reclaim the Internet.

Stand with Team Internet—take action today.

Together for the Internet,

Caitlin at Fight for the Future
