Governor DeWine Appoints Sadler to Tenth District Court of Appeals
(COLUMBUS, Ohio)?Ohio Governor Mike DeWine today announced the judicial appointment of Lisa L. Sadler to the Tenth District Court of Appeals.
Sadler, of Columbus, will assume office on May 3, 2021, and will be replacing Justice Jennifer Brunner. Sadler will need to run for election in November 2022 for the full term commencing January 1, 2023.
Sadler has served as a Tenth District Court of Appeals Judge since July 2003. In this role, she served by assignment on three-judge panels to hear appeals from the Franklin County Municipal Court, Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, Court of Claims of Ohio, and various state agencies. ?Previously, Sadler served as judge for both the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas and Franklin County Municipal Court.
Sadler has additional experience in the public sector, where she served as Deputy Chief Legal Counsel in the Office of the Ohio Governor, and as Assistant City Attorney for the Columbus City Attorney?s Office.
Sadler holds a Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School. She earned a Bachelor of Science and Social Welfare at The Ohio State University.
Sadler is currently a member of the Columbus and Ohio State Bar Associations, and Women Lawyers of Franklin County.? Previously, she was a member of the Supreme Court of Ohio Advisory Committee on Case Management.
