Budget 2021 is a bold step forward for Canadians, friend.

It’s a strong and comprehensive plan to protect people’s health, and to bridge Canadian workers, families, and businesses through this global crisis and towards a robust recovery. By investing in Canadians and taking action to break down barriers to full economic participation, we can ensure that our economy comes roaring back, and that Canada’s recovery leaves no one behind.

These historic new investments will ensure we can finish the fight against COVID-19 and build back better – including by creating jobs and growing the middle class, funding early learning and child care, building a green recovery for jobs and a cleaner future, and investing in health care.

Add your name to support Budget 2021’s bold action on health, the economy, the environment, equality, and more:

HERE'S WHAT THEY'RE SAYING

"The only proven way to lead Canada out of the COVID-19 recession is through investments, and it’s clear that Minister Freeland understands that reality."

– Jerry Dias, Unifor National President

As our Liberal government continues to take strong action to keep Canadians healthy, safe, and supported, our work together to keep Canada moving forward has never been more important. We will continue investing in Canadians and growth, and building Canada’s social and physical infrastructure.

"I am relieved that Ottawa continues to support workers and reject the politics of austerity. Since the beginning of the pandemic, government spending has been the only thing keeping millions of Canadians afloat."

– François Laporte, National President of Teamsters Canada

Budget 2021 proposes $17.6 billion to create jobs, build a clean economy, and fight and protect against climate change.

Our Liberal government is supporting a stronger digital economy, including by providing an additional $1 billion over 6 years to the Universal Broadband Fund, accelerating investment in digital transformation for small and medium-sized businesses, introducing the new Canada Digital Adoption Program, and so much more.

Early learning and child care is the national economic policy we need now, and it has been all too clear that women are among those disproportionately affected by this pandemic. Budget 2021 commits up to $30 billion over five years to build a Canada-wide early learning and child care system – to drive economic growth, increase women’s participation in the workforce, and offer each child in Canada the best start in life.

This plan aims to reduce fees for parents with children in regulated child care by 50% on average by 2022, with a goal of reaching $10 per day by five years from now, everywhere outside of Quebec.
