John, For the past year, we have seen out-of-control violence on our streets across our great country. Rioters are stoking fear in our communities and destroying small businesses in already struggling communities. And the Democrats have not only refused to condemn it, but they have also encouraged the violence! Just this past week California Congresswoman Maxine Waters even said, “We’ve got to stay on the street, and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business.” This is a very dangerous statement coming from an elected official. And that is why Kevin McCarthy brought a resolution forth this week to condemn the statement she made but the Democrats voted it down and would not even debate the merits of her comments. That is right the Democrats would not even allow debate on the resolution. This has gone too far and that is why we have started a petition to urge the Democrats to condemn Waters' comments. During the riots last summer, one of Beth's Democrat opponents even said "If people loot, so what? Burn it to the ground." The Democrats are so scared of the Left that now they will not even condemn the most outrageous statements calling for violence in our streets! We need to remind the Democrats that we Americans, will not stand idly by and allow them to make statements asking for rioters to be "more confrontational" or to "burn it to the ground".
