Indianapolis. Kenosha. Austin. Long Island. These are the locations of just four of the more than fifty mass shootings reported since the March 16th shootings at Atlanta-area spas. More lives have been taken too soon, and more families have had to endure the loss of loved ones.

Thoughts and prayers are not enough -- we need to take immediate action to end the gun violence epidemic.

President Biden recently announced a series of executive actions to curb the gun violence epidemic. And last month Chris joined his colleagues in the House to pass H.R. 8, a comprehensive background checks bill that would establish universal background checks on all gun purchases.

H.R. 8 would make our communities safer and save lives by expanding background checks and closing loopholes in our gun laws. Add your name to show your support for H.R 8 and common-sense gun violence prevention.

Universal background checks are extremely popular, with nearly 90% of Americans supporting them. Despite the overwhelming amount of public support, former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blocked this legislation when it was passed back in 2018.

Now that we have the Senate majority, we have a chance to pass universal background check legislation and save lives.
