This makes me so mad, John. A Republican state legislator in Kansas is considering running against Congresswoman Sharice Davids -- one of the first two Native American women to serve in Congress -- in 2022. But guess what -- he also chairs the committee that will draw up new maps of the district he's planning to compete in.

This is the definition of a conflict of interest. It reminds me of when Georgia Governor Brian Kemp ran against Stacey Abrams after suppressing the vote as secretary of state!

And speaking of Georgia, Congresswoman Davids isn't the only woman of color in Congress who is in danger of being gerrymandered out of her district. A Republican strategist has revealed plans to draw the lines of Rep. Lucy McBath's Georgia district to make it easier for a GOP opponent to defeat her.

John, we need to mount a huge pressure campaign to let Republicans know that we will not allow them to target these congresswomen and cheat their way into victory. But that's going to take resources, and redistricting has already begun.
