The San Francisco Planning Commission will hold an informational hearing on the Housing Element Update on Thursday, April 22nd! We need YIMBYs to show up to the hearing to provide feedback during the public comment period!

The SF Planning Commission has announced the launch of the second phase of outreach and engagement for the Housing Element 2022 Update! An informational hearing on the Housing Element Update is this Thursday.

You are invited to join the hearing to learn more about about the draft policies, outreach strategy, hear initial feedback on the draft from the Commission and community members, and directly participate by providing your own feedback during the public comment period.

With remote public comment making it easier than ever to participate, and our members-only YIMBY Slack providing live updates and alerts when public comment begins, YIMBYs have the opportunity to send a clear, hopeful message in favor of bold housing action in San Francisco.

Under the "April 2021 Release" tab, you can find a Context Statement, Phase 1 Public Input Summary, Draft Needs Assessment, and a first draft of goals, policies, and actions. The website includes a sorting tool that allows you to review the document by grouping related policies and actions organized by cross-cutting topics, like "affordable housing production" or "community engagement.
