Hi John,

I am glad that Derek Chauvin has been found guilty and will face consequences for murder, but that does not mean justice has arrived. I firmly believe the work of so many organizers and activists who protested George Floyd’s murder contributed to this verdict. But one officer found guilty is simply a marker on the road to a more just society. In a just society, George Floyd would still be alive.

We have continued to see the vital importance of the fight against oppression this year as more people of color have been victims of the violence of white supremacy. We will continue to support the work of our community in every way we can as we reach toward real justice and equity.
