Dear Relatives,

For the last nine months, the Carrizo/Comecrudo : [link removed] tribe has occupied the land along the so-called border at the Yalui (Butterfly) Village to stop Trump’s 30-foot high concrete and steel border wall.
Contractors have now started to survey the land at the 154-year-old Eli Jackson cemetery where Indigenous activists have set up camp.

We’ve had enough. They are digging up our people. Anytime that you dig somebody up and you put them somewhere else, that’s just ethnic cleansing all over again, genocide. We are the original people of this land. We are saying, we do not want your border wall. We are ready to take a stand.

Trump has waived 28 laws to push through the wall that will run through our tribal lands of including:

The American Indian Religious Freedom ActThe Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation ActThe National Environmental Policy Act                     The Fish and Wildlife Coordination ActThe Endangered Species Act                                     The Noise Control ActThe Clean Water Act                                                 The Clean Air ActThe National Historic Preservation Act                     The Antiquities ActThe Migratory Bird Conservation Act                        The Migratory Bird Treaty ActThe Archeological Resources Protection Act           The Federal Cave Resources Protection ActThe Paleontological Resources Preservation Act       The Administrative Procedure Act  The Solid Waste Disposal Act                                    The Safe Drinking Water ActThe Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability ActThe Archaeological and Historic Preservation Act   The National Fish and Wildlife Act                   The Historic Sites, Buildings, and Antiquities Act  The Farmland Protection Policy Act The Eagle Protection ActThe Coastal Zone Management Act The River and Harbors ActThe Federal Land Policy and Management ActThe National Wildlife Refuge System Administration Act
The tribe is asking that those who are able to join them in occupying the land do so by clicking on the image below and filing out the vetting form:

The fight to protect our land isn't just about the wall -- Enbridge has joined the efforts in pushing through three 19 story LNG export terminals between Port Isabel and Brownsville. We've kept them at bay for two years, but need help. These LNG"s will go through Carrizo/Comecrudo sacred lands including Garcia Pasture, a nationally registered historic site. There have been so many archaeological finds along this route- we must protect the sacred Will you stand with the Carrizo/Comecrudo tribe?
