For the past few weeks, the GOP has attacked Vanita Gupta with baseless accusations. Vanita Gupta has proven time and time again why she is qualified to be confirmed to Associate Attorney General for Biden's Department of Justice, yet Republicans are insistent on tearing down a strong Asian American candidate for this position.
With bipartisan support from progressive and conservative groups and civil and human rights organizations across the country, there is no reason why Gupta's nomination needs to be as contentious as the GOP is insistent on making it.
