We can secure our country's borders without politicizing the military and stripping funds from our brave servicemembers and their families.
Anyone who tells you differently is just plain wrong. But this administration is diverting money that was earmarked to ensure the safety and well-being of military servicemembers and families and using it to pay for the border wall. Here in Florida, they want to take $17 million that was meant for a fire rescue and crash response station at Tyndall Air Force Base.
That’s unacceptable to me. I worked as a national security specialist at the Pentagon after 9/11, so I’ve seen firsthand the struggles our servicemembers and their families face every day. Help me fight for our troops by pitching in today.

This isn’t happening on a small scale -- the canceled fire rescue station at Tyndall is only one of the 127 projects the administration suspended funding for. Our troops and their families deserve far better than what they’re getting from this president.
