In response to former-president Donald Trump’s Muslim Ban, Congress has been seeking legislative means to rescind the ban and amend the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) to ensure that future administrations are unable to enact such a discriminatory ban again. We are now closer than ever to achieving this goal with the 'NO BAN Act' going to a House floor vote as early as TOMORROW.
We welcomed President Biden’s decisive executive order to repeal the Muslim Ban - a campaign promise made first at Emgage Action's ‘Million Muslim Votes Summit’ by Joe Biden - but to repair the damage done by the ban, we need safeguards in place against future religious discrimination. That is why Emgage Action is an original endorsee of the NO BAN Act. If passed, the NO BAN Act will amend the INA, ensuring that individuals immigrating to the United States CANNOT be barred from entry based on religion, and place limitations and accountability whenever a president suspends the entry of individuals into the United States.
To ensure that the NO BAN Act passes through the House on the day of the vote, we need your help.
