I have some exciting news to share with you, friend --

I RECEIVED MY FIRST VACCINE DOSE! Thanks to a bit of good luck and a lot of great policy, I was able to get my first shot just after my birthday at the end of March.

And that’s not all. In the days since the American Rescue Plan passed, I’ve also felt another huge weight lift off my shoulders: a relief check that meant I could pay my family’s phone bill and help my mom -- a grocery store clerk -- afford to take more time off of work to stay safe while she waited for her second dose of the vaccine.

The American Rescue Plan is chock full of provisions that are already helping so many people like me. In fact, I’m sure some of you have a story like mine about a weight that the American Rescue Plan lifted off of your shoulders. If you do, would you mind sharing it with me in a reply to this email?

After over a year of isolation and turmoil caused by the pandemic, the PeopleGreater community still sustains my belief that no matter what, people working alongside each other are greater than any challenge we face.
