Dear Friend,
Over my first two years as Attorney General, we have worked hard to build a team at the Department of Law focused on serving the people of Colorado, advancing the rule of law, protecting our democracy, and promoting justice for all.

In 2020, it was harder than ever to fulfill our mission--meeting the challenges of a pandemic, an economic crisis leading to major cuts to the state budget and our Department’s budget, a long overdue reckoning with racial injustices, wildfires brought on by a climate crisis, a contentious election season, and a mental health crisis driven by all of the above. Through it all, our Department was resilient, innovative, and gracious in supporting the people of Colorado.

Our office's 2020 annual report underscores how our team confronted new challenges--from defending the integrity of our elections (including suing the Postal Service twice) to protecting the public’s health by enforcing state health orders to addressing vaccine scams. Through all of these challenges, we rose to the occasion, as captured in this video. As we look ahead, we have some important work to do--defending Coloradans' rights as consumers and citizens; improving our criminal justice system; and protecting our land, air, and water. I could not do this work without you. And I appreciate you doing whatever you can to support my re-election.
