This week, Massachusetts State Representative Tram T. Nguyen was among only six women nationwide to be nominated for the Emily’s List Gabrielle Giffords Rising Star Award, which celebrates women who are outstanding leaders in their communities, with bright political futures. Past recipients include our very own Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, as well as Stacey Abrams.

 

 

This is such an exciting honor for Tram and, I have to say, I'm not surprised in the least that she is in the running. I endorsed Tram when she first ran for State Representative in 2018. She was a legal aid attorney at the time fighting for the rights of workers, immigrants, and victims of domestic violence and I knew that she would be a powerful voice and an asset to our Commonwealth. She hasn't proven me wrong since.
