We must reform the U.S. Supreme Court. To protect our democracy. To
safeguard our most basic rights and freedoms. To advance true justice and
equity for all.
Make no mistake: The current makeup of the Supreme Court is no accident.
Republicans have been relentless in their efforts to push our judiciary to
the right, and they’ve taken every opportunity to install deeply
conservative, unqualified judges to our highest court.
As a result, today’s court stands as a roadblock to meaningful progress on
immigration, criminal justice reform, gun control, protections for the
LGBTQIA+ community, voting rights, and more, and routinely sides with
special interests and corporations.
That’s why Ayanna is joining in support of The Judiciary Act of 2021 —
introduced by Senator Ed Markey and Representatives Hank Johnson, Jerrold
Nadler, and Mondaire Jones — to add four seats to the Supreme Court.

From allowing dark money to flood our political system and gutting the
Voting Rights Act to blessing partisan gerrymandering, our Supreme Court’s
right-wing majority has led the charge on assaults against our democracy.
Expanding the Supreme Court is about restoring balance and integrity, and
it’s not a new or unprecedented idea.
This legislation is critical to helping us restore public trust in the
Supreme Court, and it will allow us to tackle urgent national challenges
like climate change, racial justice, voting rights, access to health care,
and so much more.
[ [link removed] ]We must act with urgency. Please sign the petition to become a citizen
co-sponsor of The Judiciary Act of 2021. It only takes a few minutes, and
we need massive public support to pass this bill.
Thank you,
A-Team
