We need federal reform: Contact Congress today.
Drug Policy Alliance
Friend,

Today is 4/20 and we’ve got a lot to celebrate thanks to you.

From our recent victories legalizing marijuana and repairing the harms of prohibition in New York and New Mexico to Virginia becoming the first state in the South to do the same, momentum for legalizing it right has never been greater.

Yet federal reform still lags behind. It’s time for Congress to catch up: take action to demand marijuana justice for all.

You can also show your support with our brand new “No Stems, No Seeds, Only Justice” t-shirt.

The Marijuana Opportunity Reinvestment and Expungement (MORE) Act would deschedule marijuana at the federal level, reinvest marijuana tax revenue back into the communities that have borne the brunt of the drug war, expunge marijuana convictions, and fund opportunities for diversifying the marijuana industry.

Last year, the U.S. House passed the MORE Act in an historic vote. But now it must be reintroduced so we get it through the House again and onto the Senate.

Public support for marijuana law reform is stronger than ever before with polls showing more than half the country is in favor of legalizing marijuana. But even as more and more states legalize, one person is still arrested nearly every minute simply for possessing marijuana.

Enough is enough. Congress must end the federal war on marijuana: tell your lawmakers to move the MORE Act forward.

We’ve made so much progress, but there’s still so much more work to do federally and in places like the South which has some of the harshest drug laws in the country. You can learn more about marijuana reform in the South by joining our webinar today at 4pm ET..

On this 4/20, we’re grateful for all you’ve helped us accomplish and hope you will keep standing with us to fight for marijuana justice across the country.

Sincerely,

Queen Adesuyi
