sign the petition to urge the House to condemn Trump's racism

SIGN TODAY: This vote could happen as early as tonight!

PFAW Member,

Over the weekend, Trump launched into what is the latest of his ongoing efforts to further divide our nation by invoking blatantly racist rhetoric aimed at four freshman lawmakers – all women of color – in the Democratic Party. Representatives Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and Ayanna Pressley were targeted in a vicious – and remarkably ignorant – series of tweets from President Trump, who stated that they should “go back” to their countries of origin (which for three out of four of them is the U.S.) and asked, “why don’t they go back and help fix the totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.”

House leadership announced on Monday a planned resolution to condemn the president’s remarks, with Speaker Pelosi saying in a letter to colleagues that "the House cannot allow the President’s characterization of immigrants to our country to stand. Our Republican colleagues must join us in condemning the President’s xenophobic tweets."

Please support this Democratic effort and force Republican members of Congress to confront Trump’s racism head on! Sign the petition today urging the House to pass the resolution condemning Trump’s dangerous and hateful rhetoric!>>

Not only was Trump willing to post the tweets over the weekend, he continues to double-down on the rhetoric, calling upon THEM to apologize for “foul language and hatred” he claims they are using – a shameful attempt to demonize the legitimate criticisms they have each made of his administration.

Unfortunately, few in the Republican Party have been willing to speak out against Trump’s rhetoric for fear that they too could fall victim to one of his Twitter tirades, but this type of deplorable behavior must be condemned!

Urge your representative to denounce Trump’s racism!>>

This type of hateful rhetoric was a hallmark of Trump’s 2016 campaign and it’s very clear now that he has every intention of further capitalizing on and amplifying the fearmongering that has played so well to his base of supporters.

Trump’s dangerous and hateful rhetoric continues to deepen our nation’s divides and does so in a way that damages the very spirit of the American Way.

Join me in condemning Trump’s racism.

Thank you,

- Zach, PFAW
