? ? ? ? ? We are recruiting for Community Engagement Officers to support a newly secured externally funded project. ?? Working on the Engage Nottingham Project, the post holders will be responsible for engaging with BAME people at risk of long term unemployment and with a full understanding of Nottingham?s employment and skills landscape, support Nottingham BAME citizens by guiding the selection of and then supporting active participation within employment, skills or enterprise related provision or services. (Fixed term 12 month)

The post holders will successfully deliver the Projects designed to help progress unemployed?BAME residents into employment or skills related provision, ensuring that the project's outcomes and targets are delivered on time and within budget. This will require the post holders to work out in the community and closely with DWP employment advisors to support unemployed people make positive choices that move them towards and into employment. The successful candidates will manage a caseload of jobseekers and develop a comprehensive understanding of employability and skills support available in Nottingham The post holder will be based at Loxley House in Nottingham, but will be expected to spend the majority of their time off site, working with jobseekers in community settings and across DWP sites. *? ?* *ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS: *
* A proven track record of working within an employment and skills delivery environment.
* Experience of working with unemployed and inactive citizens, identifying skills and employment opportunities for economic progression
* Knowledge of Nottingham?s BAME communities and the challenges faced when moving towards employment
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
