Friend,
Last week, we first
learned of the existence of an “America First Caucus” led by
Representatives Paul Gosar and Marjorie Taylor Greene -- both of whom
apparently have nothing better to do in the midst of a global pandemic
than prove who’s the bigger jerk -- to establish a “common respect for
uniquely Anglo-Saxon political traditions” and a return to “the
architectural, engineering and aesthetic value that befits the progeny
of European architecture."
Historical inaccuracies aside, this crude, nativist
propaganda is just plain un-American. So I told Rep. Greene and Rep.
Gosar to take their idea and "shove it." I'm pleased that Reps. Greene
and Gosar have since walked back this sad, sad excuse for a caucus.
But it's clear that these are the views held by a powerful, vocal
contingent of the Republican party. Will
you rush in a donation right now so that we can fight
back?

As an immigrant, I
served on active duty in the U.S. military to defend every American's
right to say stupid stuff -- and that includes Reps. Gosar and
Greene’s moronic ideas. But what makes America great is that we don’t
judge our fellow citizens based on their bloodline -- we look at their
character. And it says a whole lot about the character of my
Republican colleagues that many continue to stand by Reps. Gosar and
Greene.
This Anglo-Saxon caucus idea is a
preview of what the Republican party may soon become if we don’t take
action to disavow white supremacist ideology right now.
So
can I count on you to stand with me and truly put America first by
donating today?
Best, Ted
