The right to vote is the very core of our democracy and we must ensure every American can exercise that right.  However, instead of making it easier to vote, many state legislatures are moving in the opposite direction.  In fact, 361 bills to restrict voting rights have already been introduced in 47 states.  There is no question we must reverse this trend.

Please visit [link removed] to add your name and help stop voter suppression.

The House has already voted to pass H.R. 1, the For the People Act, to expand voting rights to millions of people by ensuring every state offers at least 15 days of early voting, universal access to mail-in voting and same-day registration for federal elections.

A second bill, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, would empower the federal government to review discriminatory voting laws.

These laws are essential to protect voting rights for every American, and I hope you will join me in supporting them by adding your name at [link removed].

Republican lawmakers know the American people want change, and know they can’t win elections with their stale ideas and outdated platforms.  Instead, they’ve decided to do everything they can to simply stop people from voting.

I am committed to stopping this tactic and am doing everything I can to protect voting rights.  I appreciate your support and thank you for standing with me on this important issue.

Sincerely,

Salud Carbajal
