The attacks on transgender kids and their families continues at the Legislature.

Last week, a bill banning transgender young people from playing school sports (SB 29) passed in Dan Patrick's Senate. Over in the House, a similar sports ban (HB 4042) will be considered in committee this week. And another bill, banning gender-affirming, medically recommended health care (HB 1399), may be on its way to the House floor for a full vote by your reps.

Our friends with the Transgender Education Network of Texas (TENT) are putting together a couple of events this week and we want to invite you to join and oppose all of these discriminatory bills.

On Thursday, TENT will host Drive Change, a COVID-conscious caravan demonstration around the Capitol and the Governor's Mansion in Austin. It will be followed by Demand Change, a call-a-thon to contact your representatives.

You're invited to one or both of these events in support of transgender Texas.

The bills currently moving at the Legislature are cruel and dangerous, and they must be stopped. Texas deserves better.
