Building a Movement to End Hunger with Will McDonnell

College campuses are one of the areas in our community that has been heavily impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to canceling classes, some universities also shut down food/meal services on campuses, further distancing students from food they need. Will McDonnell, Director of Student Basic Needs with the Temple Student Government (TSG) actively works to remedy this by connecting with #HungerFighter organizations like the Coalition and the Hope Center for College Community and Justice, to educate his fellow Owls about the food assistance resources available to them by organizing the virtual Temple University Hunger Awareness Panel.  Will and other university #HungerFighters in the Philadelphia area are combating hunger for their peers and community everyday.

Join the 25th Annual Race Against Hunger and support the Coalition's work that connects and educates communities to food across the Philadelphia region.

Once your photo is ready to post, please also answer two questions:

  • Why is the Race Against Hunger still so important?
  • What is your favorite RAH memory?

Your participation and support will ensure that we raise awareness about hunger in the Philadelphia area and funding for our food pantry/soup kitchen partners who help our neighbors fight hunger everyday!
