It's up to all of us to show up for each other.

Dear supporter,

We have scheduled more public training dates for our Bystander Intervention training to Stop Police Sponsored Violence and Anti-Black Racist Harassment.

Last June, in the midst of a pandemic and with thousands of people marching the streets demanding justice for George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, we developed a resource to address police violence. Since then, we trained hundreds of people, always with the hope that our communities would heal and someday, not need this methodology.

This past month, it has become clear to our team that bystander intervention is still needed, and that we must keep stepping up to do our part. We have scheduled 3 free public trainings dates, and if you haven’t taken this training yet, we invite you to register today. If you’ve taken other bystander trainings with us, this trainings walks through the specifics of what the 5D’s look like in the context of Police Sponsored Violence, and a section on “Know Your Rights.” If you’ve been around a while, and have taken this training, we invite you to share this with your accomplices.

We can’t accept these continuous acts of police violence as normal. Twenty year old Daunte Wright, and thirteen year old Adam Toledo, both victims of police violence, should be with us today. Our hearts are with their families, and we stand in solidarity with all the organizers demanding justice.

We also stand in solidarity with all of you. To our BIPOC community: you deserve to live. You deserve to be safe and loved. You deserve so much more than just to make it home safely.

The trainings are not going to end injustice, but we hope they can disrupt hate and harassment.  We know that it takes consistent actions from all of us to change our culture, and we hope you will join us at one of our training sessions and show up.

With Solidarity,

Hollaback!
