On Monday, it was reported that China had sent 25 warplanes into Taiwan’s air defense identification zone. The planes included 14 J-16 fighter jets, four J-10 fighter jets, four H-6K bombers, two anti-submarine warfare planes, and an airborne early warning and control plane.
On Wednesday, it was reported that the PLA has deployed its HQ-9 long-range air defense systems near China’s border with India. Indian authorities reported the deployment as threatening two-month old diplomatic talks with China following a ten-month standoff.
On Thursday, it was reported that Saudi Arabian coalition forces had destroyed four drones and five ballistic missiles launched by Houthi forces. This comes a few days after an announcement by Houthi forces that they had launched fifteen drones and two missiles towards various sites in Saudi Arabia.
On Sunday, five rockets struck an Iraqi air base at Balad, north of Baghdad. The Iraqi military stated two Iraqi soldiers were wounded in the rocket attack. This comes after a drone dropped explosives near U.S. forces located at Erbil airport on Wednesday. There were no reports of casualties as a result of drone’s explosives.
