So far, more than 80% of CT Dems supporters have said that they want pizza to become the official food of Connecticut.

John, we want to know what you think, but we haven't seen your response yet. Should the CT General Assembly vote to officially designate pizza as Connecticut’s state food? [[link removed]]

Next week, we'll follow up to let you know the winner of our "Best pizza in Connecticut" poll — but first, take a look at one of the responses we received:

"Connecticut doesn't have pizza, it has cheese bread with sauce, this an insult to New Yorker's everywhere"

On behalf of everyone here at the Connecticut Democratic Party, we strongly disagree... but what do you think? Tell us if you think Connecticut should be officially recognized as the pizza capital of the United States, and if you have a favorite CT pizza place: [[link removed]]

As everyone who lives here knows, Connecticut is the pizza capital of the world — but somehow, many Americans still don’t know this.

The CT General Assembly is now considering a bill to officially designate pizza as the state food of Connecticut, a move that would solidify CT pizza’s significance to the world.

John, we talk about a lot of important issues here at the Connecticut Democratic Party, and today is no different: do you support making pizza the official state food of Connecticut? [[link removed]]

If you’ve ever read a “Best pizza in the United States” article or watched a travel show about where to find the most delicious pizza in the world, you’ll know that Connecticut pizza consistently comes out on top.

And it’s New Haven pizza — like Pepe’s, Sally's, Modern, and BAR — that dominates these lists.

But the beauty of being home to these iconic institutions is that pizza greatness permeates from New Haven throughout all of Connecticut, which means that many CT residents have favorites that are lesser-known, but potentially just as good as the famous ones.

On our podcast last year [[link removed]] , U.S. Senator Chris Murphy said that Vito’s Pizza in Wethersfield is his favorite.

John, do you have a favorite under-the-radar Connecticut pizza place?

Let us know here. The bill to make pizza Connecticut’s state food has already passed the Government Administration and Elections Committee, and now it moves on to the CT House — tell us your favorite CT pizza place and whether or not you think it’s time of officially recognize the cultural significance of Connecticut pizza!
