22 years ago tomorrow, 13 people lost their lives at Columbine High School.
And as of this past weekend, the U.S. has reported 45 mass shootings in the last month alone. That means we have spent 8,030 days doing nothing to prevent this senseless loss.
I know I've written to you quite often over the past few months about passing legislation to address gun violence -- because this is an issue that we simply cannot ignore any longer.
Every mass shooting, every victim, and every community touched represents an immeasurable loss and an immeasurable failure of the government to enact common-sense gun safety legislation.
This gun violence epidemic has already taken too much. It's past time to take action.
In solidarity,
Antonio
