Hi John,
Leading into a new post-pandemic era, conservatives around the country are looking for ways to bring us back to normal and alleviate families and businesses from the devastation brought on by COVID-19.
Conservatives in Arizona are doing just that. Senate Bill 1752, sponsored by Arizona State Senator Vince Leach and recently signed into law by Governor Ducey, will create $600 million in savings for Arizona taxpayers.
Garnering bipartisan support, the bill aligns the state’s tax law with that of the federal government. Understanding the economic hardships due to the pandemic, this bill gives back to those who kept the state running. As part of this new law, businesses will be provided immediate relief for any losses suffered, Paycheck Protection Program tax exemption, and $10,000 unemployment insurance benefits exemptions from state income tax as well.
This bill illustrates what conservatism is really about. It is about keeping hard earned money in the pockets of the citizens who worked for it. It is about creating a robust economy while freeing citizens from burdensome government policies.
We know other states will follow the lead of these Arizona conservatives!
Sincerely,
Casey
