Restart Grants launched?

*The Restart Grant*?which commenced on 1 April 2021 will require businesses with a business rate account to apply through a new application process.

The Restart Grant scheme supports businesses in the non-essential retail, hospitality, leisure, personal care and accommodation sectors with a one-off grant, to reopen safely as COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

Eligible businesses in the non-essential retail sector may be entitled to a one-off cash grant of up to ?6,000 depending on your business's rateable value.

Eligible businesses in the hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym sectors may be entitled to a one-off cash grant of up to ?18,000 depending on your business's rateable value.

The grant you receive depends on your rateable value (as on 1 April 2021). Non-essential retail business grants are as follows:


* If your?*rateable value is ?15,000 or under, *a grant of?**?2,667**
* If your?*rateable value is between ?15,000 and ?50,999,?*a grant of?*?4,000*?
* If your?*rateable value is more than ?51,000, *a grant of?*?6,000.*

Eligible businesses in the hospitality, accommodation, leisure, personal care and gym sectors grants are as follows:


* If your?*rateable value is ?15,000 or under,* a grant of?*?8,000*
* If your?*rateable value is between ?15,000 and ?50,999,?*a grant of?*?12,000*?
* If your?*rateable value is more than ?51,000,?*a grant of *?18,000*

Free support to keep City workers, their colleagues and families protected from Covid

Around?*1 in 3* people with Covid-19 don't have any symptoms, but can still pass it on.?*Protect those around you and test for Covid-19 regularly, at least once a week.*

*Community Testing Sites:* Over 16 year olds can take a supervised test. Over 18 year olds can pick up a box of tests to use at home. For up-to-date opening hours, visit our *Asymptomatic Testing site.* [ [link removed] ]

*Workplace testing:?*Many employers are offering testing in the workplace. This includes testing sites, where people can take a supervised test, and workplace collect, where people can pick up a box of tests to use at home.

*Pharmacy collect:* Over 18 year olds will be able to go to a participating pharmacy and pick up a free box of tests to use at home.?Please *visit the NHS Test and Trace website. [ [link removed] ]*

*Education:?*Secondary and college students are already being given tests to use at home twice a week, throughout term time and the holidays.?

*Lateral Flow Test Direct (LFD):?*For people who can't access tests through the other routes, they can order a box of tests online or through?*119?*or the?*gov.uk? [ [link removed] ]*website which will be delivered to their home.
