Peter Kropotkin was the foremost theorist of the anarchist movement. His books continue to influence those seeking a society based on freedom, equality, and mutual aid. These ideas are needed now more than ever.

This year to commemorate the 100 year anniversary of his death and to introduce his ideas to a wider audience, we are publishing three new editions of his classic works. These include Words of a Rebel, The Great French Revolution, 1789-1793, and Mutual Aid: An Illuminated Factor of Evolution. Every page of this new edition of Mutual Aid is beautifully illustrated by artist N.O. Bonzo and enjoys insightful commentary by an all-star cast of anarchist thinkers, including the last writing by David Graeber who left this world too soon in 2020.

Ursula K. Le Guin, one of the greatest writers and visionaries of our time, reminds us that the power of capitalism is not inescapable. The quote is originally from the scathing acceptance speech she gave for the Medal for Distinguished Contribution to American Letters award and printed in her poetry collection Late in the Day as a postscript. The quote has been beautifully interpreted by the artist Roger Peet and is used with permission of the Ursula K. Le Guin Literary Trust.
