Recently, President Biden announced his American Jobs Plan, a big, bold plan that would rebuild our country’s infrastructure and rebuild our economy at the same time by creating 15 million good-paying jobs.
TEAM DUTCH OFFICIAL INFRASTRUCTURE POLL:
Do you support investing in our country’s infrastructure?
Biden’s plan comes at a critical moment for our country:
- There are 173,000 miles of highways and roads and 45,000 bridges in our country in poor condition.
- Over 24,000 buses, 5,000 rail cars, 200 transit stations, and thousands of miles of tracks are in need of repair or replacement.
- Over 30 million Americans live in areas where there is no broadband infrastructure with acceptable speeds.
The American Jobs Plan would take major strides toward fixing these issues and others by:
- Modernizing 20,000 miles of highways and roads
- Making serious investments in our railways and public transit
- Investing in electric vehicle infrastructure and reducing greenhouse gas emissions
- Expanding broadband to more than 35% of rural Americans who don’t have access
When we talk about President Biden’s American Jobs Plan, we’re talking about a once-in-a-generation opportunity to build our economy back better and invest in our future.
