** The British Midterms
Tuesday, 20th April at 6pm BST
------------------------------------------------------------

With local and devolved elections underway across the UK, some of the most important debates in the country are happening away from Westminster.

Scotland once again faces the question of independence: will Sturgeon's SNP clinch a majority, or will the SNP's recent scandals come back to haunt them? Across England, local and combined authorities are electing their mayors: will the Red Wall continue to fall or will we see a return to form? Will the added surprise of a Hartlepool by-election foreshadow Conservative performance post-Brexit?

To explore voters expectations and the results that we can expect to follow - we are joined by expert political commentators.

** Panellists:
------------------------------------------------------------
* Matt Kilcoyne is Deputy Director of the Adam Smith Institute. (Host)
* Poppy Bullard is a producer with Matt Chorley on Times Radio and previously produced Question Time, taking her across the UK and understanding local and national issues at play each week.
* Stephen Daisley is a Spectator regular and a columnist for the Scottish Daily Mail.
* Christian Calgie is a reporter with Guido Fawkes, the UK's most read and respected political blog.
