As we are only weeks away from Election Day, volunteers across the Commonwealth are working diligently to turn Virginia blue. In House District 12, Susan Gurley, an all-star volunteer, has been working on the ground, knocking on doors and making phone calls for Chris Hurst’s campaign.
Like Susan, you too can help us retake the General Assembly by chipping in right now! Election Day is November 5th (33 days away) so there’s no better time! The stakes couldn’t be higher and it is so important for us to finish strong going into Election Day. Can you chip in to help us retake the General Assembly?
Here’s a quick note from Susan:
"At 73 years old, I've been politically active since high school. The first campaign I worked on was John F. Kennedy's presidential campaign. I continued to work on campaigns for the next 30 years (it was a lot harder then) but then took 20 years off. I became active again after moving back to the East Coast, because the Democratic Party was very active and friends & family encouraged me to continue volunteering.
When Chris Hurst decided to run in 2017, he inspired hope in the New River Valley Democrats that we hadn't seen in a long time, so I was more than happy to see him run and am happy to volunteer to help keep him in the House of Delegates!"
